Meteorological Stations for EPA Contracted Agencies

Under agreement with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Climatronics provides portable weather stations to eligible US EPA contracted agencies.

January 5, 2007

(Bohemia, NY) Climatronics and the United States Environmental Protection Agency (US EPA) have an existing Basic Purchasing Agreement (BPA Number B3-1113-NTSX) for the provision of Meteorological Stations to the US EPA. Basic to the effective monitoring of localized climatic conditions, these portable weather stations measure wind speed and direction, air temperature and relative humidity, solar radiation, and precipitation. Built to function in remote and inhospitable environments, all station components come packaged in five rugged carrying cases. A data logger built into one of those cases automatically records the meteorological data and relays it to a customer's computer via two radio telemetry systems.

Agencies eligible to purchase these systems under this BPA include warranted EPA Contracting Officers, EPA personnel with purchase card authority, and contractors on START, ERRS, REAC, ERTP, and ER Warehouse contracts. Climatronics also holds a GSA schedule contract under which federal agencies, as well as authorized domestic and international organizations, may order products through the GSA'a e-Buy system. Nearly 400 individual Climatronics meteorological, geophysical and geographical instruments and systems can be found on the GSA Advantage website www.gsaadvantage.gov.
