(Bohemia, NY…) Accurate and affordable, Climatronics’ 360 Series precipitation gauges are a cost-effective solution for unattended measurement of rain and snow in remote locations. A gravity-actuated, self-tipping bucket empties itself once a precise amount of precipitation has been collected, automatically recording increment of volume that has been discharged. No regular operator maintenance is required, making the 360 ideal for unattended operation. Its small size and low cost makes it the unit of choice for network applications. Highly suited for international use, the 360 provides data in both Metric and English units.
The 360 Series is manufactured for continuous operation in virtually any environment. Constructed from powder-coated, anodized aluminum and stainless steel, this precision instrument is reliable, rugged, and corrosion resistant. It can be equipped with internal sensor heaters for operation in areas that experience significant amounts of frozen precipitation. Thermostatic control enables these heaters to melt snow and frozen rain without evaporative loss, so that measurements remain accurate. Two screens on the funnel protect the gauge from being clogged by leaves or other debris. A circular bubble level and adjustable feet simplify the proper siting of the instrument. Well-designed and solidly built, 360 Series Precipitation Gauges provide accurate, repeatable measurements and long-term service.
