Climatronics announces the release of its new PDA Data Display Software. Based on the Palm OS, Palm-compatible devices may be interfaced to Climatronics' TACMET II™ compact portable weather station, TACMET I™ Portable Data Display and to Climatronics’ Universal Interface Module (UIM) in our fixed stations. This portable unit allows an operator to monitor and record data from each of these devices.
The PDA performs multiple tasks: for the TACMET II it offers real time data display; for the UIM it acts as a maintenance and audit tool; for the TACMET I Portable Data Display it is a recording device. Recorded data is further analyzed in the PDA and then transferred to another computer for analysis, or is sent to an e-mail or internet address capitalizing on the inherent features of these commercial devices. Real time data are acquired via the serial output of the TACMET II, TACMET I Portable Data Display or UIM.
The software running on the PDA is a version of Climatronics WeatherView™: software which is fully user configurable. For Windows CE™ PDA’s, this capability will be available shortly.
